About Sawmill Creek Estate

Sawmill Creek Estate was founded in 2010 by seventh-generation viticulturist Jason Hazlitt and veteran Finger Lakes winemaker Justin Boyette to create a focused expression of the Hazlitt family's Sawmill Creek Vineyards on the southeast side of Seneca Lake. The estate is rooted in a farm first purchased in 1852 and in generations of grape growing on the site.

The team describes itself as a group of friends passionate about inspired wine, hard work, and finding beauty in the experience. Their wines are intended to reflect the historic Sawmill Creek site and the soul of the Finger Lakes, pairing generations of farming with modern winemaking.

Visitors are welcomed daily to a friendly, laid-back, and educational tasting-room experience, with indoor and outdoor seating and wine available as flights, glasses, or bottles. An on-site artisan marketplace offers locally produced Finger Lakes foods, and food trucks are regularly scheduled at the estate.
