About Domaine LeSeurre Winery

Domaine LeSeurre is a family-owned winery on the east side of Keuka Lake, just off State Route 54, founded by French winemakers Celine and Sebastien LeSeurre. Sebastien is a sixth-generation winemaker from Champagne, and Celine grew up around her grandparents' vineyard in southwest France near the Pyrenees. The couple met in 2009 while working a harvest at Clos Henri Vineyard in Marlborough, New Zealand, and went on to make wine together across France, New Zealand, Australia, and the United States, more than twenty vintages between them. Drawn to the quality of Finger Lakes fruit, they produced their first local vintage in 2012 and opened their Keuka Lake tasting room in October 2013.

Their approach blends old-world tradition with new-world technique. Rather than relying on lab measurements of sugar and acidity, they taste the grapes every few days as harvest nears and pick by flavor alone, sourcing from a network of select Finger Lakes growers chosen for their terroir and older vines. The result is a French-leaning, terroir-driven house style that runs from bright, dry rosis and mineral Rieslings to barrel-aged Gewurztraminer, Cabernet Franc, and a small amount of traditional-method sparkling wine, more than thirty bottlings in all, arranged from lightest and driest to fullest and sweetest.

Visitors are welcomed into a French-chic, rustic tasting room with indoor seating and a terrace overlooking the Keuka Lake bluffs. Guests can book a guided educational tasting, a wine-and-macaron pairing, or a wine-and-food pairing featuring local and European artisan bites, or simply relax with wine by the glass and a cheese-and-charcuterie plate. The winery also runs a complimentary wine club with three shipments a year and hosts seasonal events throughout the year.
